What It Is
RekaRia Meta-Makerspace is a vibrant, values-driven makerspace developed to empower children from B40 and rural communities with future-ready skills in STEM, creativity, and innovation. Powered by the waqf model, this initiative bridges education, equity, and technology by bringing hands-on learning to those who need it most.
A collaborative effort with Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), the makerspace features interactive, modular programmes designed to ignite curiosity and build technical literacy in a fun and engaging environment. Among the flagship learning streams are:
- Reka-Botics (basic robotics)
- Reka-Tronics (introductory electronics)
- Reka-3D (3D design & printing)
- Reka-Constructs (engineering play)
- Reka-Mation (digital storytelling & animation)
More than just a tech hub, RekaRia is a waqf-supported innovation ecosystem. It focuses not only on skill development but also on intellectual property (IP) creation, encouraging grassroots inventiveness and digital creativity. It demonstrates how waqf can sustainably support education and contribute to long-term national development by cultivating a generation of ethical, empowered makers.
