Khadijah Transit Home

For families who travel far to care deeply

Khadijah Transit Home is a waqf-based initiative by the Khadijah International Waqf Foundation, built to provide temporary accommodation for families of patients receiving long-term medical treatment in Kuala Lumpur. These families often travel from rural areas or other states to care for their loved ones who are undergoing cancer treatments, dialysis, stroke recovery, or surgeries at facilities like Hospital Tunku Azizah and nearby hospitals.

This initiative exists because the journey of caregiving is already filled with emotional, physical, and financial burdens. Many caregivers cannot afford hotel stays, and hospitals are not designed for extended rest. Families often end up sleeping on benches or in their cars. Khadijah Transit Home offers them a clean, safe, and welcoming environment — at no cost — so they can focus on what matters most: being present for their loved ones without additional stress

Why It Matters

Without affordable, nearby lodging:

  • Families sleep in hospital corridors.
  • Parents suffer fatigue, stress, and poor health.
  • Children feel the weight of uncertainty and distance.

How You Can Support

  • Corporate Partners: Sponsor a unit, furnish a room, brand a space
  • Individuals: Waqf a night, a meal, or a full stay
  • Every contribution brings warmth and hope
